The Google Pixel Watch 5 has finally been revealed with an August 20th release date, and there are already several preorder deals that could make the flagship wearable dirt cheap if you play your cards right.
I think it’s time Google branched out to give people what they need — a Pixel Watch Pro. And I’m saying this because, after playing with the Pixel Watch 5, I’m not sure why the company keeps putting out a new version of the watch every year when not much has really changed.

- The Pixel Watch 5 looks almost identical to the Pixel Watch 4 and keeps the same W5 Gen 2 chip.
- Google calls it the W5 Gen 2 Accelerated, but the underlying hardware remains essentially unchanged.

- New tools for insulin and blood pressure management add meaningful functionality.

What you need to know
- Samsung just uploaded a One UI 9 Watch test firmware (L500XXU2ZZH2) for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic to its servers.
- The new firmware specifically targets the Watch 8 Classic, making it one of the first older models (outside the new Watch 9 series) to get public beta access.
- This build runs on a newer bootloader version.
